Supergroup?[edit]

How exactly does this group get defined as a "Supergroup" when most of the members are from bands that are obscure at best. Only the member from In This Moment is from a well known band, and even then they aren't all that well known by the general public.

Supergroup used to always mean a group formed from members of other well established very successful bands known to the general public, not just to a small percentage of fans of a certain genre.

This in no way is a condemnation of the band for their music or styles, but this isn't a supergroup.

Given a lot of the bands on the "supergroup" page however, it seems at least this band has one hit song. It is unfortunate how the rules regarding what a supergroup even is are watered down to such an extent that the actual supergroups don't get the recognition they deserve. I don't think this subject is even up for discussion. Reliable source said it, DevilDriver is a band that is in turn started from a successful band (Coal Chamber), and God Forbid made a huge impact on the metalcore scene, however poor its own page may be. Your response, in reality, hurts your argument. The only member from DevilDriver (whatever that is) that is in Bad Wolves, never played in Coal Chamber. Shouldn't successful groups be defined by album sales and popularity overall, rather than a strong following only within the genre they play in? Isn't that what "success" within the music world is derived from, and ultimately, a LOT of success would lead to being called a "supergroup"? RTShadow (talk) 00:22, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A supergroup known best from other band's cover?? Be serious. Did they achievied anything, except this cover? I personally never heard of this group, band members or any band named in article which they used to belong to.

Not a supergroup - as defined by wikipedia[edit]

Supergroup as defined by Wikipedia - A supergroup is a music group whose members have successful solo careers or are part of other groups or well known in other musical professions. Usually used in the context of rock and pop music, the term has been applied to other musical genres such as opera.

I don't see any evidence that any of the members of this group having a solo career, and according to the post they are all ex-members of various groups. However obscure the groups may be, if they were still members of other groups then they would fit the definition.
