References vs. just external links[edit]

I have just removed the following text from the article:

The first few researchers to demonstrate this technique successfully for various applications were: 
   - Meier in 1999
   - Dalziel et. al in 2000
   - Richard and Raffel in 2001

In shock tunnels, BOS was first demonstrated in the Drummond Shock Tunnel at The University of Queensland by Raghunath et al. in 2004.

In this text the main statements (who are the first few researchers, where BOS was first demonstrated in a shock tunnel) are not supported by the (primary) sources provided. The sources just serve as a collection of external links to document what appears to be WP:OR. Perhaps this text can be added back (supported by secondary sources), but in the meantime I believe it should be deleted. -- Ariadacapo (talk) 10:01, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
