Suggestion of improvement for the Mediated audiences section

Hello all, I was reading this article and I believe the Mediated Audiences section could be improved by including more tecnical information about audience measurement. Research companies and media companies audit their audience results in several ways, one of them being the Peoplemeter. In the UK, TV audience measurements is done with the help of the company Barb, while in Brazil for example, IBOPE is in charge of such activity. What do you guys think about expanding the article in this, let's say more technical, way? Cheers, Zalunardo8 (talk) 17:47, 22 February 2013 (UTC)

the very first line of audience definition

The very first line in the definition here, describe audience who participate in a show..bla bla.. and then "they are called players" in video games.. Is it correct to say the players themselves as audience? Moreover I think that the definition should be general, not including a few examples only. Shouldn't it be like : Audience are those who take sheer pleasure in attending a performance or an art-form without getting directly involved in a major role in the delivery of that performance or art? and then including the examples for books, orchestras, TV shows etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Atulvivekmishra (talkcontribs) 21:45, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
