What about atomic veterans in other jurisdictions?[edit]

How do fellow contributors feel about expanding the scope of this article to include atomic veterans from other nations? For example: the Australian, New Zealander and UK veterans who supported tests in Australia and at Christmas Island, and the Russian and French servicemen who served in their respective weapons testing programs. Here's an article about French atomic veterans who were exposed to radiation while supporting weapons testing in the Pacific. What about the compensation initially offered?[edit]

Watching the, Smithsonian Channel, and they explained the atomic veterans were given one time payments of 75,000 USD and the citizens in the towns affected by fallout were paid 50,000 USD.
