Assimilative capacity as only a hydrology concept[edit]

Hi fellow Wikipedians,

I am a university student that is taking a unit on writing in the digital world I am here to edit and work on a stub on Wikipedia and this is the one I have chosen to edit.I have a background in environmental science but have focused mainly on soil rather then water. I have done much research on assimilative capacity and have found most of the research has been conducted in relation to water. However, it is a concept which states how much input of pollutants before it can no longer self sustain its current healthy state and have negative effects on organisms that use or live in that environment. In defining it this way I have noticed that their is a lack of specificity that the concepts only relates to water. I propose to expand this concept to include environment as a whole. This might increase the usefulness of the page. BigFluffyCatz (talk) 02:25, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Assimilative capacity A New Look[edit]

Hello, fellow Wikipedians

I have recently updates this stub to a much broader and more referenced topic. I believe that this is more informative for new readers and has more vigorous of a definition then the original assignment. Also in this new look I have added media to 3 of the sections. At the end of the article I have increased the amount of categories and added an end box. I hope you agree with this new direction of the stub. I think the next steps to increasing quality would be to expand the Uses heading. BigFluffyCatz (talk) 12:26, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
