Top 10 most beautiful models[edit]

The sources for this claim are jive. For one, the links no longer work. [1][2]. Secondly, even if you use the archived versions, there are still problems. The first site appears to be [3] an event planning company that hires Bollywood actors. This isn't a newspaper or a magazine, and for all we know, Khan was a client of this company, so their opinions are not significant to us. Doesn't meet WP:RS. The second site didn't even mention Armeena Khan. [4]. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:35, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I just saw this Talk tab - discovered something new again. Cyphoidbomb - you are every where. Anyway yes those links are dead but of course articles and links do die over time on the net. Merlinsage10 (talk) 09:08, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

We are all everywhere. I have 8,000 pages on my watchlist, for example, not including talk pages, covering a very wide range of subjects. Thomas.W talk 09:21, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I think you are missing my point about those links, Merlin, the second link didn't even mention Khan. That's a problem whether the link is still active or not. Unrelated, I have a scant 2400+ articles on my watchlist, so yeah, I'm everywhere. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:57, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted references[edit]

In this edit I removed two references because they do not mention the article's subject or her involvement in the projects she is purported to be involved in. This reference was apparently being used to support the claim she was slated to appear in Bin Roye Ansoo, but the article doesn't mention her or Bin Roye Ansoo. So, that's problematic. Request of reversion to the previous state[edit]

Hi!

So, back in October 2014 it was my first time editing a wikipedia page and so I couldn't brief much about the problem and Cyphoidbomb was right. The article lacked citations and sources as wikipedia requires. Since many of Khan's project were under production, there wasn't any reliable source that can be provided. But, as time passed the projects moved towards completion and there are plenty of sources that I'm today providing that'll help in resolving this dispute over Khan's popularity and whether this page even deserved to be on Wikipedia.

Bin Roye [5] [6] [7] [Official website for the film where trailer can be found: http://www.binroyethemovie.com/]

Yalghaar (Post-production) [8] [9] [10] [11]

Janaan (Pre-Production) [12] [13]

Music Videos: [14] [15]

Ads featuring Armeena Khan (Can be found on her Youtube Channel): [youtube.com/user/ArmeenaRKhanOfficial]

Personal Life: Her interview that supports the information regarding her personal life on Wikipedia [16]

So, I'd request to revert the edits back to this version [17] as this was the most extended version of information added to Khan's biography here. We can ofcourse work to remove the parts that as you suggested had links associated to it that weren't working and further add information about her recent projects that are on-air on Pakistani TV channels with sources as required for it to look credible piece of information and not a promotional profile page.

Thanks! Junaidahmedrana — Preceding undated comment added 18:20, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Junaidahmedrana, You are welcome to add sourced, non-promotional content about the subject, and I think that may be the way to go rather than restoring to a problematic version. Since you have essentially declared a conflict of interest through your comment, "I'm moderating the info here on behalf of Armeena herself" you should probably familiarize yourself with our guidelines on conflicts of interest. We certainly don't want this article to become a promotional vehicle for the subject, and we expect the content to be presented from a neutral point of view. Any content that was previously removed for seeming promotional, will be removed again. For example, the statement "Her distinctive looks transcend East and West" is subjective puffery and doesn't belong in the article, nor does any similar puffery. I'm a little reluctant to include the "sexiest women alive" content, particularly in the lead. Also, any biographical content must be impeccably sourced. See WP:BLP and WP:BLPPRIVACY. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:07, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Cyphoidbomb, that distinctive looks part comes from here actually. [18]. We can remove the inclusion in top 50 sexiest women in South Asia part as it's not sourced. What I'm saying here is that other information besides the lead part was not puffery that was removed and can be sourced so reverting it back shouldn't be a problem, no? Oh and yes, I have made myself aware of the COI rules here and that's why I'm discussing this whole thing here. And to establish the authenticity of the source, it was published in a leading English daily newspaper in Pakistan i.e. Pakistan Today [19] Junaidahmedrana (talk) 05:15, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The references link number 2, 23 have wrong links. Please make it like http://stylespk.com/armeena-rana-khan/ instead of http://stylespk.com/celebrities/famous-pakistani-fashion-model-armeena-rana-khan-biography-photos Nawaz591 (talk) 05:50, 16 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The link does not meet the reliable sources criteria for biography articles, so I've removed it altogether.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:35, 17 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
