Trivia[edit]

Trivia:

This episode marks the second time Rene Auberjonois plays a character who disguises himself as a Klingon. The first was in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, in which Colonel West, Auberjonois's character, disguises himself as a Klingon. Both characters had opposite goals: West tries to prevent peace between the Klingon Empire and the Federation while Odo tries to prevent war between the Klingon Empire and the Federation.
