Alain Nicolas[edit]

Is it worth mentioning the single-tile effort by Alain Nicolas?[1]--Pakbelang (talk) 10:15, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I think the whole idea of an aperiodic set of prototiles is to get a global result from local rules. Having a non-local constraints such as no triangles of any size seems to defeat the purpose in a way. Almost might as well require aperiodicity in the rules. --Eigenbra (talk) 02:49, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

an einstein solution?[edit]

It is reported that a single aperiodic tile has been found. [2] I trust that it will be incorporated into the article when ripe. —Tamfang (talk) 00:21, 22 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
