Nickname[edit]

She is sometimes referred to as the Dragon Lady. Likely worth mentioning, should be a number of sources. Moioci (talk) 07:09, 14 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nixon connection[edit]

Discussion of Anna Chen Chennault cannot be complete without reference to her role in Nixon's intentional sabotage of the Paris Peace Talks (for which there is no article and hardly any mention). (Googling "Chennault Nixon Thieu" gives a few hundred references, or just read her autobiography or Kissinger's.) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.169.10.74 (talkcontribs) 16:21, September 2, 2006 (UTC)

What's with the unsourced quotes?[edit]

There appear to be extensive direct quotes (at least, they've got quotation marks) without references. I'm not going to tweak this for lack of time right now but I will flag it. 14:48, 21 March 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jedgold (talkcontribs)

i fixed much of it...it's a matter of reporting facts using paraphrase rather than direct quote. Rjensen (talk) 15:09, 21 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Potential Bias/Incendiary Comment[edit]

Hey, the second paragraph of the Early Life section in this article appears to be problematic. The first sentence of this paragraph very much reads as an unexamined summary of this part of her early life story based solely on her own point of view about the circumstances of the historical context. There are some troubling and potentially inflammatory historical arguments, particularly in regards to the activities of the Japanese in Hong Kong. It appears to display a clear bias and seems to be couched in the kind of hyperbolic claims that are shared within a national group. Also, it reads as clearly the work of someone writing in English not as their first language, with grammatical errors and a telltale lack of clarity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.187.18.221 (talk) 21:55, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed re: Japanese in Hong Kong. Sexual slavery in WWII was certainly present, but also well documented. I don't think there would be accurate and reliable corroboration of the claims made in that paragraph. I am going to go ahead and delete that sentence. The idea that Thiệu didn't want peace talks because it would threaten his power not sourced[edit]

Self explanatory. I saw that claim and thought it was interesting, so I checked out the source on the internet archive. It doesn't say that. It says the stuff about Thiệu messing with the peace talks and making impossible demands, but it never specifies why. Anyone have a good source for the reasoning why Thiệu didn't want talks? Thanks.

Stanley Karnow[edit]

There are 6 reference to someone or something called Stanley Karnow. Any chance of telling who or what this is...? 150.143.103.69 (talk) 20:08, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
