AnnAnn (disambiguation) – Ann should redirect to Anne. If someone searches Ann then they are most likely looking for the name. I’m sorry for doing a cut and paste move (which got reverted). • Oppose. English Wikipedia has three distinct disambiguation pages — Ann, Anna and Anne (disambiguation) — as well as various related dab pages, such as Annie or Annette or dab pages for variants usually found outside the English-speaking world, such as Anya, Anastasia, Annalise or Anneliese. Each of those names has its own dab page and there is no need to make one of those — Ann — a redirect. As a matter of fact, I would support moving AnneAnne (given name) [analogous to Anna (given name)] and Anne (disambiguation)Anne [analogous to Anna]. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 00:45, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. It is clear that the primary topic for Ann is its use as a given name, and Anne provides a list of people with the name, so a primary redirect of Ann to Anne is in order. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 08:58, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • It's far from clear that the majority of people searching for "Ann" are looking for information/links available at Anne. Could someone who's familiar with clickstream data check the distribution of clicks coming from the Ann dab page? Colin M (talk) 02:42, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The clickstream data for March is:
Ann_(ship) link 12
Ann_(singer) link 11
Neural_network other 11
Artificial_neural_network other 16
Anne link 225
ANN link 80
Anna link 12

Entries with fewer than 10 clicks for the month are not listed. – Uanfala (talk) 16:10, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Uanfala: Wow, that's amazing! In the future we won't need to rely on Wikipedia:Statistical redirects. -- King of ♥ 05:05, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
