Support for Apartheid[edit]

I do not know how to edit Wikipedia to any degree of competency, I wonder if someone could post the following, cited in Conservapedia in which Schlafly refused to condemn apartheid and that liberals deny that South Africa is a worse place since the end of Apartheid and South Africa was better off with the regime in place[1][2]--90.208.146.33 (talk) 12:26, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Possible Notability Problem?[edit]

He is the son of Phyllis Schlafly and is the founder of Conservapedia, which are both notable, but I fail to understand why he alone is notable enough to have his own page. The only part of this page that would not be sufficiently covered by other articles is that he "was the lead counsel for the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons' efforts to bring the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act before the United States Supreme Court", which is might be a justification for notability. Andrew Schlafly[edit]

This article consistently refers to him as "Andrew Schlafly", but on Conservapedia, he signs his name as "Andy Schlafly". Vorbee (talk) 15:54, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Statements of support for Augusto Pinochet[edit]

On this page, Schlafly expresses tacit support for Pinochet and condones his actions: https://conservapedia.com/Talk:Mystery:Did_George_Orwell_Become_a_Conservative%3F

I really think a section should be added to highlight this in the main article, those are significant statements regarding Schlafly's political beliefs. Condoning genocide is a pretty extreme position, by anyone's standard. BakedEel (talk) 01:18, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@BakedEel: There are surprisingly not a whole lot of secondary sources I could find that describe Mr. Schlafly's views, so I am not sure how notable they even are. However there are a few sources about his supporting the use of hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for COVID-19, which of course is simply pseudoscience. That would be notable. You're right. It's important to note that there are plenty of sources available if one just clicks through to the linked article Conservapedia, but it's also true that this stuff should be discussed and sourced in the article body here if it's going to remain in the lead.
