Intercept and Gradient[edit]

Small errors in the Intro Diagram about the geometry[edit]

User:Nwhit has made an excellent diagram for the intro section of this article but it has 2 small errors. Other than that, it's all looking great!

The "offset" definition should probably be something like R_n-X_n. But I think it would be even more useful to just draw a double sided arrow showing the offset distance directly on the digram (above the common midpoint) and not on the legend. Something like this:

The angle shown on the diagram is not the angle of incidence, it is it's complementary angle. The angle of incidence if measured between the ray path the vertical.
