Vive la Trance release date[edit]

There seems to be disagreement among sources as to whether Vive la Trance was originally released in 1973 or 1974. Kaldari (talk) 15:10, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was ORIGINALLY released in 1973. It was released in West Germany, UK, France and Japan. The following year saw a wider release to other countries.F104G (talk) 10:29, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

History of the band[edit]

The band grew out of radical communes in the 1960s, including a link to those who would go on to form the Baader-Meinhof Group. This article has a good early history that could be cited. Bondegezou (talk) 21:52, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Use of Krautrock[edit]

Although the term Krautrock has been generally used by the press to lump certain bands together and has come into common use - I would like to relate that John Weinzierl has written me and let it be known that they would prefer to be known primarily as a "Psychedelic Underground" band. What is the problem to make a German Wikisite for Amon Düül II, I can only imagine that there are no infos about the band by the wikipedia authors. But when there is nobody else I would translate the English article in German. Legacy section - where to place?[edit]

Legacy section is generally placed after History or (if there is one) Musical Styles section, before Members and Dicsography section. As it is at featured articles like Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendrix etc. The rational behind this is, that Legacy is strongly connected to bands history and musical development regarded as a consequence of them. on the 2010 album, it seems to be "dool-irium" they are saying.

it's a made-up word, so I guess they can do what they like, but in normal german, the [diaresis] trema is an umlaut, & has a different modifying effect than (say) in the word "naïve".

Shrat[edit]

In this article and the Phallus Dei article, Shrat's real name is given as Christian Thierfeld, whereas the Amon Düül and Paradieswärts Düül articles call him Christian Thiele. Which is correct? Jah77 (talk) 16:14, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that Shrat was involved (or founded) the project SAMETI or Konsameti who released a self-title album in 1972.
