Amelia Bloomer death date is December 30, 1894

"Bloomers" (as in the underwear) links here.

I added a link to bloomers, as in the article of clothing. I thought it appropriate, since the article talks about them and Amelia Bloomer invented them. --Gary

Amelia was also known as Amanda Bloomer, particularly in Great Britain.1850's: Amanda Bloomer goes to England to popularize her clothing - most every one is appalled with the notable exception of Queen Victoria who finds these modern cycling ladies quite sensible.

Saints banner and category[edit]

Based on this individual being included in the Calendar of saints (Episcopal Church in the United States of America), I am adding the Category:Anglican saints and the Saints WikiProject banner to this article. Early life name reference[edit]

In the opening paragraph, would it be appropriate to say "Amelia Jenks was born in 1818" instead of "Amelia Bloomer"? And then have the next sentence start with "She came from a family..."? Since she wasn't a Bloomer at birth, it doesn't seem right to automatically begin referring to her by her married name.
