I removed the mention of bankruptcy, as I am not sure they actually filed for bankruptcy (Nicholas D. Kent's website is not verifiable). The Japanese WP article does not mention bankruptcy though I'm not certain (my Japanese isn't great). AFAIK Alfa still exist but as a mere shell of their former selves - they are still owners of their recordings but have given SMEJ full control of distribution, re-issues, sales, etc. --Zilog Jones (talk) 14:46, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Page name[edit]

Alfa Records, Inc. is the older company that was succeeded by Alfa Music, Inc. Would we want a new page for that? Here's what I've got for different entities:

Alfa (the branding, or label that is in the infobox)
Alfa Records, Inc. (the first record commpany ca. 1977-1994?)
Alfa Music, Inc. (the second record company succeeding the previous ca. 1994-?)
Alfa Records Ltd. (a publishing company that probably predates the record company, judging by what's written ca. (1969-????).

It seems like a different article would be too much. I suggest we rename this page to just "Alfa", and focus on all the companies associated with that branding. A basic sentence in the lead could easily describe any difference and remove confusion. All of the other company names (including "Alfa Records" without the company suffix, which isn't even a real thing as far as I can tell) can be redirected to the new Alfa page.
