The article was long overdue. Once we have references, it is DYKable. --Ghirla -трёп- 07:42, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Girla, kak delo? Whats DYKable? :) I'll add references, thank you for help! Ldingley 14:57, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
He means you should list it at WP:DYK. :-) —Khoikhoi 01:03, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Prince?[edit]

Hi all, I was just wondering if the term Prince is correct. I mean, it might be mentioned in some English language sources, but according to the political and feudual structure of Georgia I really don't think that the term prince is right. In Georgia we say Tavadi, which is same as count. I think there is a need for a new article Tavadi, which is a Georgian noble title, because if we look at different European nations, the terminologies are different. For example, in Italy they say Graf and in Spain I think they have Juntas. However, nowadays junta has a very negative conotation in South America. SosoMK 03:22, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Soso. You are basically correct in that Georgian tavadi once corresponded to the European count, but after the Russian annexation the title was equated to knyaz which is normally translated into English as prince. I think current version is fairly accurate though there are no precise Western equivalents for the Georgian titles. Best, --Kober 04:38, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

#Alexander Chavchavadze - rated as A, very clear, encyclopaedic, great use of reliable sources and references, very accurate based on historical documents, primary and secondary sources. Ldingley 17:30, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  1. I rated it B -- see if you can expand the lead per WP:LEAD. After that, I'd submit it to our Peer review process for a more extensive review so that you can go for GA or A... --plange 23:56, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  1. I believe that this is an A + work. However, Kober, you might want to check out what's wrong with that WP:LEAD. Sosomk 16:33, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  1. I give it an A. Excellent work on this article, guys. -- Clevelander 20:47, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Put it back to B -- not meant as a disparagement -you guys have worked very hard and it shows!! Keep up the good work. Assigning A class is a big deal-- and you shouldn't assign them to your own work, but if you think it is A class (and therefore skipping GA nomination), then I recommend requesting a Peer review so that you can get some constructive feedback (and hopefully an A!) --plange 04:32, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not going to fight you guys on this, but this is a template for WPBiography and used by WPBiography members to rate how we think it rates according to our criteria, not for non-members to take votes on and rate themselves. It might very well be an A (which means it is a possible FA), but can you please submit it for a Peer review by our project members so that Biography members can assess it? Thanks :-) --plange 22:13, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
