Defunct?[edit]

The most recent activity of the Albert Einstein Peace Prize Foundation that I could find on the web is a December 1992 conference jointly organised with the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. It seems to have no website. jnestorius(talk) 23:48, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • This obituary of Aaron Adler (Chicago Tribune, 20 April 2010) says "He was a board member of the Albert Einstein Peace Prize Foundation from 1981-1993 during which time it awarded $50,000 in prizes to such individuals as Swedish Ambassador Alva Myrdal, American Ambassador George Kennan, Cardinal Joseph Bernardin and Soviet physicist Andrei Sakharov for their efforts to promote world peace", which is compatible with the theory that the foundation has been defunct since 1993.

Other years[edit]

Page 537 of the autobiography of Jerome Wiesner states that in 1991 he was "Nominated, along with Jimmy Carter, Nelson Mandela, and others" for the Albert Einstein Peace Prize. Dunno if "nominated" equals "won" here. jnestorius(talk) 23:48, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
