AMA Superbike and Motoamerica refer to the same competition. Have added in updates and will link to the various AMA pages as necessary for cohesity. Bourneclient (talk) 18:31, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I oppose merging MotoAmerica and AMA Superbike Championship[edit]

The AMA Superbike Championship is a specific title that has been managed by several organizations over the years. MotoAmerica is the current organizer of the AMA Superbike Championship. It would certainly be horrible to put the AMA Superbike article under MotoAmerica - they had nothing to do with it when it was at its high point back in the 1980s and 1990s.

If you moved MotoAmerica here you would be dragging in all the other races that are part of the MotoAmerica / AMA promotion, but are not the AMA Superbike (such as AMA SuperSport). Which would be confusing.

It is much better the way it is, though this article could use a lot of improvement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ZeroXero (talkcontribs) 22:58, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
