Commanding officer names.[edit]

Maybe a very stupid question. I'm guessing the names of the former and current CO are abbreviated for security reasons.

Why are we even mentioning them. Knowing the current CO's name starts with an S. is of no encyclopaedic importance to anyone I gather. Is there any WP policy or guideline I have overlooked? ronaz ^Talk! 13:31, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
