MOS:DATE question[edit]

What dating convention should we be using on this page, MDY or DMY? The US and Canada (I think) both use MDY, but CONCACAF and Mexico both use DMY. I don't know if the North American Football Union has a website to verify which they would use, but wanted to establish which format we should be using for this page. Interesting question. Probably better to ask at Talk:Leagues Cup rather than here though. I see that articles on the old NAFC Championship & NAFU Cup articles used DMY, but the old Superliga articles use MDY. Given that this is much closer to the Superliga (being just an agreement between MLS & Liga MX), and not all of the NAFU (ie too bad the CPL is not included), I would think the NAFU's preference is not particularily relevant.
I'm so used to both formats that I never even notice which is being used at a given point, so it's a unimportant detail for my concern, but apparently it really bothers some people. Gecko G (talk) 03:08, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I mostly just want it to be consistent across the page. In this instance, I think MDY makes more sense since both of the English-speaking countries competing use MDY. I checked the Spanish page and it uses DMY, which makes perfect sense there, but I don't see a reason to use it on the English page. Jay eyem (talk) 04:51, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
An event hosted primarily in the US, especially those involving US teams, should use MDY. Canada can flip either way, while Mexico is not a factor due to favoring the date system of English-speaking countries when taking MOS:DATE into account. SounderBruce 04:04, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly I think that makes the most sense to me, especially since the English-speaking countries involved here use MDY. Just wanted to make sure since both here and on the group stage page I am seeing a mix of both, so just wanted to make sure we were being consistent. Jay eyem (talk) 04:26, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am happy with MDY on all Leagues Cup articles. BLAIXX 02:58, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in 2023 Leagues Cup[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of 2023 Leagues Cup's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "regulations":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. Feel free to remove this comment after fixing the refs. AnomieBOT 04:33, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
