Feedback please[edit]

Hi, Today I changed TOC to be smaller, added Events section month links, and Deaths section month links. From article history I see @Paora: updates, so if you or anyone else has feedback about these changes I'm open to discussion. Regards, JoeNMLC (talk) 00:36, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@JoeNMLC: Initial thoughts are that it would be my preference to see the top (limited) table of contents left aligned, and all the ones in other sections left aligned as well. Given that there aren't that many sections, the top TOC could be vertical format rather than horizontal, but not too bothered either way. The Events section TOC needs to look the same as the Deaths TOC, with dots rather than commas as separators. The Holidays and observances section could be move up to level 2, which would make it easier, as the TOCMonths template could then be used I think. The Deaths section could return to a single column, with additional details of positions, major teams played for, notable works, etc, similar to what's on the main Deaths pages e.g. (Deaths in December 2022), and I'd be inclined to put a gallery of portraits (similar to the Incumbents section) at the end of each month. @Paora: Thanks for your input. Yes, that smaller vertical TOC looks better. The Events, I changed to use TOCmonths template, like the Deaths section. Also removed col. from Deaths so it matches other years. Occasionally I have updated 2022 in Romania & wondering if you could take a look at that one. It has the horizontalTOC, and Deaths sections with Further & Main links. So it does look different. Just curious if those are helpful to Wikipedia readers.
