White colour flag[edit]

I suggest to change the white flag of the Russian tennists because this is the peace flag. Instead I propose to use the label RUS 90.167.219.45 (talk) 09:24, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Russian Flag[edit]

Why is the Russian Flag censored? It isn't censored on 2022 French Open. Willbb234 21:52, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Per ITF and Roland-Garros. ForzaUV (talk) 05:53, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Last I checked, Wikipedia rules don't follow the rules of the ITF or Roland-Garros. Just because they have done it doesn't give us a reason to either. I will include the flag in a day or two if there seems to be no prior discussion or guideline for this. Willbb234 20:12, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There's been conversations on multiple articles... per the sources everywhere (which we use), no flags for Russian and Belarus players... and addition of such will probably be deleted very quickly. Fyunck(click) (talk) 20:18, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Where are these discussions? Thanks, Willbb234 21:24, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure where. There was talk about whether to use flagg template but that makes an outlined white flag instead of no flag. So it was best to use flagicon| instead. All articles since the invasion now use this format per the sources of the ATP and WTA and ITF and the tournaments themselves. All players must have country representation to enter an event per the ITF rules registration process. Fyunck(click) (talk) 21:42, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
