Year in Article Headline?[edit]

It strikes me as odd to have an article about a particular year of a team's play, rather than an article about the team. I checked through all the teams at NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, and they mostly have a page title of the form "<school name> <team name> Men's Basketball", except CCNY which is just a redirect to the "Athletics" section of the page about the school. Unless this is a Remember the Titans situation, a single year probably doesn't merit a separate article, and Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. Another course to consider would be adding the material in this draft to the "Athletics" sectin of the school's page. DavidLeeLambert (talk) 20:11, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nearly every Division I men's basketball team during the 2022-23 season has an article about the specific season. If you go to 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season#Conference standings and click on the links for the individual teams, they all go to season-team articles with the exception of four (including this one), all of which are new to Division I this season.
