Concern over reliance on McClure article[edit]

Raising concern over "The camp" section as much of its content only goes off the Sam McClure article from July 2020, much of its content is not backed up by other individual sources. Only really using McClure's article (and other articles that refer back to McClure's article) for the section is less than ideal in case the information featured in the McClure article is inaccurate. Might be worth adding more information of 'non-anonymous' and public comments from Crows players, coaches etc on the events of the camp so theres less reliance on the McClure article - and/or noting in article on the circumstances surrounding the information from the McClure article (how six Adelaide Crows players reportedly anonymously told of the events to the press...).

Farcical.[edit]

This just doesn't need a Wikipedia entry at all. 1.124.107.60 (talk) 21:53, 24 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The Age retraction[edit]

As Doctorkaufman said in February 2021, much of this entry relies on a single article by Sam McClure and other's referencing back to it. This article (and many others by The Age) has since been retracted, leaving much of the entry without a reliable source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2403:580D:8032:0:4DF0:477B:2FBD:6956 (talk) 00:07, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Eddie Betts Biography[edit]

The revelations in the book mean the reliance on the McClure article is gone. Given it appears that a massive cover up has happened, this deserves far more coverage. MaskedSinger (talk) 18:35, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The article still relies very heavily on McClure's article. (The article was literally written off the back of it, was made within hours of article being published)
While I think McClure's article is probably correct, I don't think it can be considered reliable source - it was retracted. And Nine even issued public apologies over it.
Now that Betts and couple other players have spoken out in detail recently, McClure's article should no longer be main source of info, players definitely more reliable source. What was revealed in Betts biography should became main source of info instead. Article has a verifiability problem until that happens IMO. Doctorkaufman (talk) 15:40, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
