Lunar eclipse of August 7, 2017[edit]

The lunar eclipse will start at sunset which will be in progress. The weather conditions at sunset will be clear but with a few clouds, earlier a low pressure system was over Cape Verde and had some rain and clouds. The penumbral shadow will be seen but not much will be seen.

On the Moon the penumbral/umbral shadow line (north of it will be visible as partial, but south will be visibly as total) will be in one area, south of the Sea of Humor. On one area, I guess it is lined at around north of Clausius and inside Lake of Excellence (not as Excellent Lake), also it will be linked I think likely at Ramsden at Ramsden Rim, north of Elger, around Capuanus and around Cichus and Weiss and east at Hesiodus (Hesiod). In know what weather conditions occurring in Cape Verde during a partial lunar eclipse. There was sunny skies earlier. There is a low pressure front moving west, the front systems, many of there are moving west, in the Canary Islands and the Western Sahara, they move to the east. The weather now is clear in both Barlavento and Sotavento, in many areas . It is cloudy in easternmost Santiago and Maio and west of the island of Boavista but it is clear in Sal. The weather now as of 18:37 (CVT) is low clouds and a bit rain, a lot of rain is in the southeast close to Senegal, it has little visiblity of the partial lunar eclipse, only the penumbral portion is being seen and very little is being seen, all clear skies in the west of both Barlavento and Sovtavento. The weather now as of 19:00, high clouds east of the islands, most of that part has the view of the Moon under a partial eclipse not visible, Santiago has many parts visible as clouds can see the Moon in a partial eclipse, the middle and the west of the islands are visible as it is seen in the east as not that many clouds are seen now. August 21, 2017 solar eclipse[edit]

Today is the day of the total solar eclipse in Cape Verde. It will occur in the later part of the day before sunset. The center of the shadow misses all of the archipelago. Brava will see it below 90% obscuration. The eastern part will see it from 60-80% obscuration. The weather expects for rain in the eastern part in which will block the sun as the low pressure system is coming in. A few clouds in the northwestern part of the nation which the sun is still visible there. One of the solar eclipse story will appear in I think A Semana paper, the weekly paper. The eclipse is about to begin at around 17:45 local time, in Santiago, it finishes at around 18:25 and at Santo Antão, it finishes at around 18:40 and at the waters off the islands to the west at around 18:50. Outside Cape Verde, on the visible part of the Moon, only on the nearside, a very small dark spot is seen from a part of Earth as seen from there. During Annular eclipses, the small spot is not darkened. In some views of the Earth when a total eclipse occurs on the planet, a small dark spot from the Earth is seen on the Moon. The eclipse is begun, São Vicente and Santo Antão will show at 85% obscuration. Forecast is clear and the eclipse is seen, the eastern islands are blocked by clouds, it is mostly blocked by clouds in Sal, the rest is visible as it has clear skies further northwest in the Atlantic. At around 18:50 at sunset, the solar eclipse in Cape Verde has finished. It was visible in the southern islands, in Maio it was cloudy and was not visible due to incoming clouds from the southeast and parts to the northwest. It was cloudy in Boa Vista, it was visible in most of Boa Vista and Sal. It was visible in the remainder of the Barlavento Islands, west of it had some clouds but the eclipse was visible there. Southwest of Brava, Cape Verde, the center of the Moon's shadow has left the Earth, on the Moon, viewed as the tiny dark spot is no longer visible, it was seen in the Nearside portion of the Moon and the surrounding parts of the Farside within the Nearside.
