Copy edit report[edit]

I've gone and touched up a good deal of the article, and here are some of my main takeaways.

  • There was a lot of copyvio. Some egregious, some that got under the radar. A lot of the smaller links were copy-pasted verbatim. I fixed some of these and deleted others, but some may still be lurking.
  • Anything related to drugs and the drug trade as a cause of the protests. This either needs to be clarified in the rest of the article or removed entirely. After being mentioned in the beginning of the article, it's not mentioned again at all--either prove that the protests were partially rooted in reactions to the drug trade or remove it as to not detract from the political roots of the protests.
  • This article needs a lot more citations and some further clarifications as well. I've marked those.
  • The dates were not consistent between MDY and DMY. Since Albania uses DMY, I've updated all dates to that format and that's how they should be. Also, there was an inconsistency concerning the Socialist Movement for Integration's acronym--in English as SMI or Albanian as LSI. I've left it as LSI to better reflect the country, but more aware editors can change it.
  • Deadlinks -- Citation 15 is a dead link. Also, any citations that link to Albanian Daily News are not linking to any specific page and may be removed. I also removed the US and German foreign reactions as they seemed to be copyvio but I could not confirm as the links were dead.
  • Infobox -- I removed the point about removing party people from industry--wasn't discussed in the article at all. I also added the results of the protests, such as they were.

I think that should be it. Not bad at all, but does need a fair amount of tidying.
