I am quick-failing this review because I think the article is a long way from meeting the criteria: "broad in its coverage."

In particular, the regular season is mostly WP:PROSELINE and not WP:COMPREHENSIVE. Aside the from the first game of the season, the section doesn't discuss the 2017 part of the season (which is about two and a half months that is missing). The section only mentions the Cavs' finishing position in 4th place, and doesn't discuss how their position in the standings changed throughout the season. As an obvious sign the section isn't comprehensive, it doesn't even mention LeBron, haha.

The post-season is also missing a lot. Only the finals are discussed in detail, even though two of the early rounds were very close series. The sweep against the Raptors could also include more detail. For instance, LeBron made one of the greatest shots in NBA history in that series, but that is not mentioned. The sub-section on the finals is not written well either. For example, the discussion on Game 1 mentions nothing about the game before the very end of regulation. Game 2 is just two short sentences. Game 3 over-focuses on the Warriors relative to the Cavs. Game 4 is written a little bit better than the others.

The pre-season is written better than the other sections.

The 1973–74 Buffalo Braves season is a better example of a good NBA season article. Reading through that should give you some ideas for how to improve this article.

Feel free to re-nominate when these issues are addressed. Sportsfan77777 (talk) 23:19, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
