creation[edit]

The talk page for 2014 and 2013 public domain list doesn't mention the source used and the process to build the list. Building the page with the same level of details as previous years is quite a big job to be done manually.

I add the link to the authorandbookinfo in the reference section, for a "complete" list of authors who died in 1944. (see below for a stub list to be worked on)

(Email send on 08/18/2014 to the author of the catalog to ask permission to use his list as a start for this page)

List by country[edit]

Considering the huge amount of wikilinks to correct, I am going to provide a list organised by countries. I suppose it will be easier for users to correct links for their country. The big alphabetical list will hopefully gain from this strategy and will be later updated. Fxparlant (talk) 04:57, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Second thought, I just put a table...

much better! --95.121.90.228 (talk) 16:19, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

For next year....[edit]

If I may suggest for the future, I think it would be easier if the occupations of the people were part of the table and not indicated by separate sections. I'd like to add some musicians, but the way the page is organized now I have to create a section and a separate table. Yes, I can do that, but for other potential editors who would want to add various occupations, the current organization is exclusionary and I feel that should be avoided. kosboot (talk) 02:59, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speaking of next year - 2016 - is anyone starting work on it yet? - kosboot (talk) 16:47, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Also, for the sortable table, the dates should probably be in yyyy/mm/dd order, to make it truly sortable by date. Maybe I'll set up a page with this in the next few days.- kosboot (talk) 02:42, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
