Now what?[edit]

I think this would have made a fascinating article if the team had been rebuilt and played this year, but now that the team has confirmed it will not participate in the KHL this year, is there still value to this article? I don't wonder if it wouldn't be better to merge info into the team and crash articles, then redirect this to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. Resolute 21:35, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We've got 2004-05 NHL team season articles (example: 2004-05 Montreal Canadiens season), so may aswell keep this article. GoodDay (talk) 22:51, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
And if we had a series of team articles for KHL teams, I would agree. This one stands out as unique, however. If the team played, with good reason. But with the team not playing, it seems superfluous. Resolute 23:15, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In agreement. GoodDay (talk) 23:24, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The team may not play, but it did participate in preseason games, and the article can still chronicle the rebuild up to next season. Jmj713 (talk) 01:33, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reports now say Lokomotiv will resume play in December, but not in the KHL, but the VHL, I'm guessing the KHL's minor league, like the NHL's AHL. Jmj713 (talk) 15:37, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

According to our article covering the VHL, it is the second top ice hockey league in Russia, not a minor league or a junior one. I have added your sourced claim to the article, but noted in the prose text that Sovetsky Sport are claiming this. HeyMid (contribs) 15:59, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gutless[edit]

Wikipedia editors are legitimately gutless. Lokomotiv Yaroslavl has a 2011–12 Lokomotiv Yaroslavl season page, but not a single other KHL team has one. So because of the plane crash, these dickheads make a page for this ONE team in the league and not for any other in the KHL? It is examples like this why I would never donate to Wikipedia and discourage others from doing so. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.247.135.67 (talk) 03:32, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, nobody here will miss you, so goodbye. For anyone else interested, feel free to create articles for the other teams, both this season and previous. That is, of course, what Wikipedia is about. Resolute 16:29, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Playoff participation in VHL season[edit]

The "Rebuilding the team" section of the article states that "Its participation in the playoffs will be dependent on its winning percentage compared to other teams at the end of the season." Does this mean that they are not necessarily guaranteed a playoff spot? Please clarify. Thanks in advance, HeyMid (contribs) 11:04, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
