Monument exact location?[edit]

Where exactly is the monument besides (somewhere on) Coldwater Rd.? I just drove down Coldwater from Dort Hwy to Clio Rd and back and didn't see anything resembling one. An address or intersection is needed. TomCat4680 (talk) 11:19, 8 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You couldn't see it because someone stole the brass plaques 3 years ago and they have not been replaced yet. That's why the monument sentence was written in past tense.Rwdan76 (talk) 04:47, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The monument was located at the southwest corner of Saginaw and Coldwater Roads. Steelbeard1 (talk) 15:21, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit revisions[edit]

The previous edit in the "Aftermath" section left ambiguity when specificity was originally taken into account. "Swept" is a figurative term here while "blown" is the literal term for the destruction caused by a tornado. Changing "building" to "rows of empty house..." also leaves out the several non-house structures including, commercial buildings, garages, sheds and other non-dwelling structures in the over 800 yard wide path of the tornado. Adding the phrase "outside of town" to "rural" is redundant. The meaning of rural already identifies an area that has not bern developed into a "town."

"Helical" is also the term used in tornado terminology not cycloidal. "Destroyed" is also the definition and more literal and encyclopedic term then the phrase, "completely obliterated." The source added does not support any of the recent changes. Its an archival ariel picture of ground damage.

"Flint, Michigan" was also removed from the first sentence. This tornado did not touchdown within the city limits of Flint. Flint's proximity and relationship to the actual Flint suburb hardest hit is carefully described in the article.
