Cesar Romero[edit]

I've been watching an Alan Dwan retrospective at a museum recently, which included this film and Dwan's version of Frontier Marshal, and I'm astonished at what a good actor Cesar Romero was in the dawn of his career. This enables me to view his endless later work, especially in countless variety shows on television in the '70s, in a whole new light. Cinerama Comment (talk) 15:51, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

15 Maiden Lane abides[edit]

That building is still there, not very far from the Stock Exchange. Hard to believe that the neighborhood used to be the Diamond District at some point but it definitely was back when this movie was made and long before that. The Maiden Lane name was an artifact of the original path being alongside a stream in which the maidens would wash their laundry. The street curves and winds a bit because it still follows the layout of that long gone but weirdly unforgotten stream. There are still plenty of particularly comely maidens strutting around the vicinity but they're certainly not there to wash their laundry. Racing Forward (talk) 21:45, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
