Swapan Majumder is an Indian politician from Bharatiya Janata Party. He was a popular drug smuggler accused in India. He was arrested on a smuggling case in 2017. After being released from jail, in may 2021, He was elected as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from Bangaon Dakshin (constituency).[1][2][3][4] He defeated Alo Rani Sarkar of All India Trinamool Congress by 2,004 votes in 2021 West Bengal Assembly election
