Salahley District (Somali: Degmada Salaxley) is a District in the most Eastern part of the Maroodi Jeex Region in Somaliland. Its capital lies at Salahlay.[1]
The Salahlay District was established during the presidency of Muhammad Haji Ibrahim Egal.[2]
In September 2022, water with traces of crude oil was collected while drilling a well in salahley.[3] the district is wholly dominated by the ciidagale a sub-division of the Garhajis clan.
