• 1993 - Cyclone Prema moved through Vanuatu and brushed New Caledonia, causing three deaths.
• 2006 - Cyclone Glenda made landfall as a Category 3 cyclone near Onslow, Western Australia.
• 2014 - Cyclone Hellen (pictured) became the strongest tropical cyclone on record in the Mozambique Channel, with 10 minute winds of 230 km/h (145 mph). Hellen caused flooding in the Comoros and Madagascar, killing eight people.
