"Pop! Goes the Queen" is the eleventh episode of the thirteenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race.[1][2]

Episode[edit]

Kandy Muse (pictured in 2022) wins the episode's mini-challenge.

For the episode's mini-challenge, the contestants play a trivia game with the Pit Crew called, "Are You Smarter Than the Pit Crew". Kandy Muse wins the mini-challenge.

Tina Burner is eliminated from the competition in the episode.

For the main challenge, the contestants create, market, and film a commercial for an original soft drink.

On the runway, the category is "Beast Couture". In addition to RuPaul and Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley and Ross Mathews are judges.

Kandy Muse, Rosé, and Symone receive positive critiques, and Rosé and Symone win the challenge. Gottmik, Olivia Lux, Tina Burner, and Utica Queen receive negative critiques, are Gottmik and Olivia Lux are deemed safe. Tina Burner and Utica Queen place in the bottom and face off in a lip-sync to "My Humps" by Black Eyed Peas. Tina Burner is eliminated from the competition.

Production[edit]

Contestant Kahmora Hall shared on social media what she would have worn for the runway had she still been in the competition.[4]

Reception[edit]

Kate Kulzick of The A.V. Club gave the episode a rating of 'B'.[5] The website Jezebel said Symone's soda "hilariously [encapsulated her] dry wit and undeniable sex appeal without taking her whole schtick too seriously".[6]
