Hi no Tori (Japanese: 火の鳥, Hepburn: Hi no Tori) is a 1978 Japanese jidaigeki film written and directed by Kon Ichikawa. It is based on the "Dawn" storyline from Osamu Tezuka's manga of the same title.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Himiko, the queen of Yamatai, orders her subordinates to search for the Phoenix, which is said to have eternal life for those who drinks its blood.[8]
