Haňovice is a municipality and village in Olomouc District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 500 inhabitants.
Haňovice lies approximately 18 kilometres (11 mi) north-west of Olomouc and 194 km (121 mi) east of Prague.
Administrative parts[edit]
The village of Kluzov is an administrative part of Haňovice.
History[edit]
The first written mention of Haňovice is from 1141.[2] In 1320 the village was referred to as Hanowicz , in 1384 as Hoynauicz or Honowicz, from 1403 as Hanyeowicz or Hanyowicz, in 1440 as Haniowicz, from 1446 as Haniewicz and in 1498 as Hanějovice. [3]
