30-second sample of Wall of Voodoo "Mexican Radio" from Call of the West (1982).

Fair use for Wall of Voodoo[edit]

Though the picture is subject to copyright I (Peter G Werner 07:34, 20 March 2007 (UTC)) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

  1. it is only a 30-second sample of a much longer track.
  2. it does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell the CD album in any way;
  3. the sample could not be used to make illegal copies of the album artwork on another CD;
  4. the music sample is significant because it was made by a famous artist, Wall of Voodoo, being a notable representation of their sound.
