Summary

Description
English: The Synthetic Apiary is a project of the Mediated Matter group at the MIT Media Lab. It is an experimental space designed to see if seasonal honeybees can thrive year-round. Light, humidity, and temperature are engineered to simulate perpetual spring environment. Bees are provided with synthetic pollen and sugared water, and are evaluated for health and wellbeing. The first birth in this environment happens at 2:33.
