Summary

Description
English: Computer simulation using a simple version of Shan-Chen Lattice-Boltzmann, in two dimensions, of a droplet (in yellow) relaxing. It starts off stretched, then relaxes to its final equilibrium shape which is a circle. The dynamics are driven by the surface tension, which acts to minimise the surface area (length) of the droplet surface, and are opposed and damped by the viscosity. This is a simple model of a small water droplet that is stretched and then relaxes back to its spherical shape.
