Summary

Description

Ball-and-stick model of an aminocaproic acid molecule, C6H13NO2, from the crystal structure reported in CSD entry AMCAPR11 (G. J. Reiss, CSD Communication, 2010). The molecule exists as a zwitterion in the crystal, with a protonated ammonium group, RNH3+, and a deprotonated carboxylate group, RCO2.
