| Description |
English: Today, UC Berkeley Chancellor Nicholas Dirks accepted a #IceBucketChallenge from MIT President L. Rafael Reif. The ice bucket challenge is raising funds to help scientists research the causes of and potential treatments for ALS, also know as Lou Gehrig's disease.
Chancellor Dirks dedicated the event to his late father-in-law, who died from ALS in 2010.
