Ok, I realize that this is not the most serious of encyclopedia topics, but "beating the tar out of him" does not seem an appropriate phrase for an encyclopedia. Dawhitfield 20:01, 19 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is far from an "encyclopedia" as you can get. It stays.

Yes, that's wrong. Just because he or she is committed to providing poor-quality material doesn't mean that anybody else should be. Dementia13 (talk) 22:45, 1 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Dinobots-spotlight.jpg[edit]

Image:Dinobots-spotlight.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

What happened to Slag's page?[edit]

Yeah what happened? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.85.86.130 (talk) 19:45, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Slag was merged to this one. I have suggested it be split to it's own page again. Mathewignash (talk) 21:44, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Where is the compelling third person information to justify a solo article? Dwanyewest (talk) 04:41, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We really need third person info for a Transformer? WTF. The other four have there own pages why not Slag? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.84.38.252 (talk) 01:18, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. This is not a trivia compendium. If there's no third person info, it's not important enough to be here. There's plenty of free web hosting if you want to make your own Slag page. Dementia13 (talk) 16:04, 1 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest a split between characters and toys[edit]

This artical is in poor shape. I think it would help a lot to split it into two pages, one for toys and one for the characters. That way the fact and fiction elements can be more easily distinguished. Thoughts? Argento Surfer (talk) 14:10, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There are far too many fiction elements here. That's why this page is tagged for description in an "in-universe" style, and why it is about to get a lot shorter per WP:PLOT. Some of you may cry about that, but there are certain standards here, and as noted above, there's plenty of free web hosting where you can make any page you want. If the page is on Wikipedia's servers, it has to use Wikipedia's standards. Dementia13 (talk) 16:12, 1 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Main pic is horrendous[edit]

Seriously it's badly drawn and looks like it was coloured by a total Photoshop beginner. Any chance we can use the one at http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Image:UKDinobotsPoster.jpg  ? As that's a classic image that adorned many the wall of an 80's child and still looks awesome to this day. 86.25.40.121 (talk) 19:43, 20 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Splitting proposal[edit]

Dinobot in Beast Wars should be split to a separate article. It's the only section about an individual character named Dinobot, not about a group named Dinobots. JIP | Talk 11:58, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support - it's an awkward combination. Argento Surfer (talk) 20:13, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support I was initially afraid of notability concerns (the Transformers AfD nominations are quite numerous), but there appears to be enough in there. I agree that it is out of place. -2pou (talk) 00:47, 17 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
