Draft:Zeteo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Zeteo is an online media company founded by British broadcaster and author Medhi Hasan following his exit from MSNBC.[1] The organization was officially launched on April 15, 2024.[2]

Background[edit]

In January 2024, Medhi Hasan quit his position at MSNBC following the network's cancellation of his show the previous year,[3] opting instead to "look for a new challenge."[4] Hasan announced the creation of Zeteo in February 2024.[1][5][6] Hasan said Zeteo would allow him to "speak bluntly about racism, fascism, genocide, and more."[7]

Content[edit]

The word "Zeteo" comes from the Ancient Greek word for "to strive" or "to seek after."[8]

Contributors to Zeteo include author Naomi Klein,[9] climate activist Greta Thunberg,[10] and Cynthia Nixon.[10]
