Draft:The Shaker Central

The Shaker Central (2020-Present) is a limited access online group and community space to communicate and share various media; being hosted on the online application Discord since its founding. The members comprise of people who met in person and those who had online relationships from other groups online, eventually building into a social hub where people would be able to share information to like-minded individuals but not have to worry about the comments of masses of strangers in larger public groups. The group consistently talks for hours in voice channels to engage in activities with each other. General rules seem to attend to Discord TOS, but are rarely enforced due to limited punishable action.

History

• The group was created at 12:00 20/08/2020 by bojanglehorseradish.

• The first message being "@everyone i eated chicken wings" by bojanglehorseradish.

• The server was left for 9 days before a follow up message of "@everyone POG" also by bojanglehorseradish.

• The group would stay fairly inactive until a wave of new members in late January of 2021, introducing a new Minecraft server to accompany them.

• However it would be on early April of that year where the largest influx of users would join and start talking.

Also referred to as "Twygz" from his status as a niche internet micro celebrity from iconic videos such as "OPERATION : KILL GAY SCHLAAT", to go along with their twitch channel. Since they are the owner of the server where all members are confined to, they used their status to gain traction on their social media platforms to boost their comedy career.

butcha1

butcha1, who is commonly referred to as a variety of names such as "Butch", "Big Butch" and "Butcher" is a prominent member of the group, being the source of many inside comedic jokes and images. He is mainly known for his impressive ability to play games while under the influence of alcohol, represented in his own fan channel here.

Also known as "Frederik Van Rookwinkel", he is known to frequently join voice channels and stream himself betting on various second division football matches from across the world, usually placing small amounts on teams chosen through strategies such as which have the funniest names.

slimyfetus69

also known as "LSDWIZARD68", he created and hosts the "ShreksPP" Minecraft server.

Minecraft Servers

Since its inception, the group has had a Minecraft Server where people could collaborate.

The main server would be called ShreksPP, named after the character from the Dreamworks movie, would be introduced in January 2021 and would go through many iterations:

• Seasons 1-6
• Earth Server
• Origins server
• Modded server

This server would be publicly available and advertised on hosting sites, only pushed up via accounts made by the groups users. The server would be halted indefinitely in early 2024.

Roles

Roles in the server have historically been used entirely cosmetically. The roles "r/grass enthusiast", "Gods Of Gamba", "Fermale Fish", "Up the ding" and "(real owner with two fake owners)", which together make up just under 50% of the servers population, all provide administrator privileges meaning all active members have effectively the same level of power. Originally, all of these roles beside "(real owner with two fake owners)" were just created to express enjoyment for certain topics/record certain facts about members (which remains the reason for the non-admin roles on the server) but admin permissions were later assigned to them to make editing the server easier for all members. In early 2024, many of these cosmetic roles, mostly only handed out to individial members, were deleted by user uptheding. An example of one of these roles would be the "Alpha Male" role, only given to butcha1.

• (real owner with two fake owners): Originally called "owner" when it was originally only granted to bojanglehorseradish and their second account. It was granted to robboss267 and username111110 at which point its name was changed to "(real owner with two fake owners)". It was later removed from robboss267 and given to shuiwuqizha.
• Up the ding: Originally made for fans of Reading FC, this became the highest non-owner role handed out. Not all of it's members are fans of the football club.
• Fermale Fish: Given to women who are active on the server. As of 03/05/2024, it only has 4 members, one of which is the second account of uptheding.
• Gods Of Gamba: Created to represent the common love of gambling on the server.
• r/grass enthusiast: Created for fans of the Subreddit r/grass, originally to gain this role server members had to show they had joined the subreddit.
• Phasmo: Created for players of the horror game Phasmophobia.
• Assetto Corsa: Created for players of the racing simulator Assetto Corsa.
• R6: Created for the players of the tactical shooter Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Seige.
• Valorant: Created for the players of the tactical shooter Valorant.
• CS:GO: Created for the players of the tactical shooter Counter-Strike : Global Offensive. Since the end of official support for CS:GO, it is now used by players of its sequel Counter-Strike 2.
• Euro Truckers: Created for the players of the simulator game Euro Truck Simulator 2.
• Grand Theft Re****s V: Created for the players of the action-adventure game Grand Theft Auto V.
• Man this company sure is lethal: Created for players of the horror game Lethal Company.
• Racist: Given to all members of the server by robboss267.
• Minecraft: Created for players of the sandbox game Minecraft, specifically those on the ShreksPP server.
• Alcoholic: Currently has no members.
