[1]Reich, (German: “Empire”), any of the empires of the Germans or Germany: the Holy Roman Empire (q.v.); the Second Reich, led by the Prussian Hohenzollerns (1871–1918); or the Third Reich of Nazi Germany (1933–45).the holy Roman empire or the 1st reich was ended and so prussia was born and so after Prussia out came empires such as Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, much of Italy, and parts of France, Denmark, and Poland[2] but for before Germany was just Germany it was the German empire. the German empire was ruled by a form of government called monarchy as in kings or queens emperors or emperesses. In this case they were called kaisers and the names of the kaisers were Wilhelm I, Frederick III and Wilhelm II and this was in the span of time between (1871-1918) and after 1918 The Weimar Republic democracy was formed and because of the great depression they had to search for a new leader who was Adolf hitler who then became leader of the Nazi party. which eventually led to world war two which the germans surrendered in and lost in the war which led to the Federal Republic of Germany also known as modern day germany
