The Prima Donna is an upcoming American thriller film directed by Nathan Silver and written by Silver and C. Mason Wells. It stars Toni Collette and Odessa Young.
Synopsis[edit]
As Livia Angelli, a renowned opera singer, prepares for a defining role of her life, her estranged daughter Mimi unexpectedly appears at her doorstep fresh out of rehab. Mimi, also an opera singer, wants to be in her mother's understudy, but is declined, causing her to seek revenge on "the mother that barely raised her".[1]

Production[edit]
In February 2023, it was reported that the "revenge thriller" film, The Prima Donna had entered production with Nathan Silver set as director from a script he co-wrote with C. Mason Wells. Toni Collette and Odessa Young were cast as mother and daughter, Livia Angelli and Mimi.[1] The film was shopped at the European Film Market. Produced by Dark Castle Entertainment and Rough House Pictures, the film was scheduled to commence principal photography in mid-2023 on location in Rome, Italy.[1]
