Simha Bhagavathula, known mononymously as Simha (born 4 June 1987) is an Indian playback singer who predominantly works in Telugu cinema.[1][2] He is known for his collaborations with composers Chakri, S. Thaman and Devi Sri Prasad and has sung more than 200 songs.[3] He won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer – Telugu and the SIIMA Award for Best Male Playback Singer – Telugu [4] for his song "Cinema Choopistha Mava" in the film Race Gurram.[5][6]
Career[edit]
Simha started his career with the film Nenu Pelliki Ready (2003) composed by Chakri. His breakthrough song was "Orabba" from Simha, and he has sung numerous songs in Telugu cinema. "Cinema Choopistha Mava" from Race Gurram, "Junction Lo" from Aagadu, "Alludu Seenu" from Alludu Seenu, "Kick" from Kick 2, "Dhimmathirigae" from Srimanthudu, "Khakhee Chokka" from Sardaar Gabbar Singh, "Bruce Lee" from Bruce Lee: The Fighter, "Blockbuster" from Sarrainodu, and "Bhoom Bhaddhal" from Krack are among his popular songs that have become chartbusters.[7][8]
