Sarah Marie Villamarín Ruales (born September 10, 2010) is an Ecuadorian swimmer, who specialized in backstroke and butterfly events. By the time she was 13, Sarah had won a career total of sixty six medals in national tournaments (26 Gold, 22 Silver and 18 bronze medals), spanning the three editions of the Circuito de los Andes (2021, 2022 and 2023 editions) and other major competitions including several Oceanman open water editions[1] including several edtions of Copa Tomebamba in Cuenca, Abel-Gilbert-V and National Interclub Championship Diana Quintana.[2] Moreover, in 2023 she collected a total of two national records in backstroke events (50 and 100) for her category. Sarah first competed representing Ecuador at the age of eleven in the Olga Lucia de Angulo, Ciudad de Cali Tournament 2022 where she won her first international Gold medal. In 2023 She was selected for the XV Juegos Deportivos Nacionales de Menores Guayas.
