Palestinian dissidents against Hamas Few Palestinians are opposed to Hamas Sunni Islamist regime, ruling the gaza strip since 2007. Hamas developed an authoritarian, ultranationalist and Islamist political ideology and military movement, characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism and a will to suppress opposition. Nevertheless, Hamas benefits from a strong support among the Palestinian population, illustrated by the strong approval of the 2023 Hamas-led attack on Israel [1] Palestinians showed overwhelming support for the attack.

Mosab Hassan Yousef (Arabic: مصعب حسن يوسف; born 5 May 1978), is a former Hamas militant and the son Sheikh Hassan Yousef, one of the co-founders of Hamas. After being jailed in Israel, he decided to work with Israel security services in order to prevent Hamas violent actions. He became a vocal critic of Hamas in 2007.
